Jonathan Baum
I bring over four decades of experience in the funds industry, primarily as a lawyer, but also as a fund principal, investment banker, and chief restructuring officer. Relationships I have developed during my career allow me and the teams that I form and lead to execute engagements typically associated with a handful of international law firms and at a fraction of their fees.

Where I'm coming from
Career highlights include:
-
Successfully defended a "bet the company" investigation by a major regulator
-
Served as division counsel in one of America's largest investment banks
-
Worked inside the largest pre-Lehman financial services bankruptcy
-
Served as principal at an alternative strategy manager growing AUM from $60 to $700 million
-
Collaborate with some of the finest law, accounting, and consulting firms in the US, the UK, and France, including compliance, tax, labor, and litigation boutiques
In sum, I have experienced much of what the funds world has to offer, the good and the bad. My experience to date has imbued me with these core values:
-
Work only with people I trust and like
-
Clients should understand everything
-
Collaborate with people, not firms
