We believe one of core competencies is identifying what we know and what we don’t. Simple as it sounds, some of the worst “accidents” in legal representation can happen when counsel strays into an area full of “unknown unknowns”. We’ve been involved in fund formation (domestic and off-shore), regulatory and portfolio management issues for a long time. In addition, Jonathan’s background as the general counsel of an asset management firm pursing an alternative strategy as well as his years in the corporate finance department of a “bulge bracket” firm give him the perspective of life on the inside.
