Our initial order of business is to understand you. That is, your near, mid and long term goals, your challenges and the crew you are assembling to get it done. With that understanding, we identify what and who you need to achieve those goals and meet those challenges. This is the Mission Impossible scene where the leader flips through the head shots and resumes and picks the dream team. Our contacts — relationships that we have developed in our decades as practicing lawyers — allow us a wide range of collaborators, freeing us from the constraints of any one firm, one city or even one nation in our search for the most appropriate expert. Team members may be inside “major” firms, reside as sole practitioners and may even be non-lawyer experts such as tax accountants. Each team collaborates and executes under the keen guidance of a project manager. We employ project management tools in the interest of efficiency, transparency and the unintended benefit of taking the mystery out of the process. From the outset everyone, including you, the client, knows what needs to be done, who is doing it, when they will complete their tasks and how much the entire project will cost, including disbursements. It is the rare engagement for which we do not provide a fixed fee.
